Nearly $22K Worth of School Supplies Donated to Local Kids Through United Way's Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive

Greater Ottawa County United Way is proud to announce that nearly $22,000 worth of school supplies and backpacks were collected during our third annual Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive, which took place from July 27 – August 7, 2015 throughout Ottawa County. On September 2 and 3, backpacks full of school supplies will be distributed to more than 1,000 local students at the Grand Haven and Holland Salvation Army locations. If you know a student in grades K-12 in need of a backpack and school supplies, please contact the Holland Salvation Army at (616) 392-4461 or the Grand Haven Salvation Army at (616) 842-3380.

Stuff the Bus is a collaboration of Greater Ottawa County United Way, The Salvation Army and Grand Haven Area Public Schools. Event sponsors are Fifth Third Bank, Huntington National Bank, and Two Men and a Truck.

Companies that hosted employee-only Stuff the Bus drives include: Davenport University, Fifth Third Bank, Flextronics, Four Pointes - Center for Successful Aging, Grand Haven Public Schools Educational Service Center, Grand Haven Custom Molding, ITW Drawform, Shape Corp., Tennant Company and Woodward.
