What We Do

Since 1966 CDS has been committed to providing the children and families of Ottawa and Northern Allegan counties with services that help them prepare for their future. Our multiple programs feature research-based curricula designed to teach children the learning and social skills they need to achieve kindergarten readiness. All of our teachers are professionally qualified for preschool education and our dedicated staff work hard to provide a safe and culturally sensitive environment.

Family Engagement

We encourage family engagement within our programs as well as offering volunteering opportunities for parents in the form of positions on the Policy Council, Health Advisory, or Education Advisory committees. Parents are also encouraged to volunteer to help in the classroom or on field trips.

Spanish Speaking Families

All of our programs are designed to accommodate Spanish speaking children and families. Many of our staff members are fluent in Spanish including our classroom assistants who can attend to the needs of children raised in Spanish speaking households.
