Recognition Award Criteria: The following 5 criteria are used in deciding a company/organization's eligibility for receiving one of the following awards: Spirit Award, Award of Excellence, Gold Award, Silver Award, Golden Apple, Honor Roll, and Cappon & Bertsch Community Builder Award. Some awards may only require 3 criteria to be achieved, others, 4 or 5 criteria must be achieved to receive the award. - An increase of employee giving from the previous year
- At least $150 average employee per capita
- 50% or more participation in campaign giving
- Employee volunteer involvement (with United Way internally, Day of Caring, or corporate volunteer projects)
- Three or more employees giving at the Lighthouse Leadership Circle level ($500+)
