UNITED WAY COLLABORATIVE HIRES SHAPE MICHIGAN PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Greater Ottawa County United Way welcomes Shape Michigan Program Coordinator Lisa Wegner to its Holland office. Shape Michigan is a community health initiative serving Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent, Oceana and Newaygo counties, and the United Ways of Muskegon, Kent and Ottawa counties provide the ‘backbone’ services. Greater Ottawa County United Way currently serves as the host and supervisor of the position.

 

Wegner graduated from Grand Valley State University with her master’s degree in public health with an emphasis in health education and promotion. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University. Prior to working at United Way, Lisa worked with the Ottawa County Department of Public Health as a health education intern.

 

Lisa says, “I moved to West Michigan three years ago and fell in love with the community. I am excited to work with United Way and Shape Michigan to continue making West Michigan the best place to work and live. I look forward to continuing building relationships with community members and helping individuals achieve their optimal health potential.”

 

Lisa lives in Grand Rapids and enjoys running and water sports.
