UNITED WAY HOSTS ANNUAL DAY OF CARING ON SEPTEMBER 15 - Volunteers & Projects Needed

On Thursday, September 15, 2016, Greater Ottawa County United Way is hosting Day of Caring, an annual event that connects groups of volunteers with nonprofits in Ottawa County to complete much-needed projects at their facilities. At last year’s Day of Caring event, United Way mobilized 650 volunteers to facilitate 57 projects across Ottawa County. We invite you join us for this fun event that helps our community and builds teamwork within your organization.

Does your company or organization have a group who would like to volunteer? Does your nonprofit organization have a project for a group of volunteers? Volunteer teams and projects are needed. Team and agency forms are due by Friday, August 19. For more information, go to http://www.ottawaunitedway.org/day-caring or contact Shannon LaHaie, slahaie@ottawaunitedway.org or call (616) 396-7811 x206.

Thank you to A.D Bos Vending Services and Tyson Foods, who will provide lunch for the Day of Caring volunteers, and thank you to Christian Reformed Conference Grounds for providing the location for the volunteer lunch.
