UNITED WAY WELCOMES TWO NEW STAFF MEMBERS

Greater Ottawa County United Way is proud to announce the addition of two staff members to their team. Jennifer Bryant joins United Way as Campaign Associate, and Lisa Bassage as Administrative Assistant.

In her role as campaign associate, Jennifer will work with the development team to implement fundraising strategies year-round, including during the annual community campaign from September 2018 to March 2019. She will also manage campaign volunteers and support the development department with various projects.

Jennifer has a background in fund development and education. She has worked in the nonprofit, secondary, and post-secondary sectors for more than 10 years. She joins United Way from Grand Rapids Community College Upward Bound program, where she guided first generation and low-income high school students to higher education. Jennifer is passionate about helping people reach their goals. She lives in Grand Rapids with her son, and enjoys cooking and exploring Michigan.

As administrative assistant, Lisa will offer project support to the United Way staff as well as serve as the point of contact for the office. Lisa grew up in Grandville, Michigan, and attended Grandville High School. She graduated from Hope College in 2017 with a degree in communications and psychology, along with a business minor. Previously, she completed a marketing internship at Pine Rest as well as a development internship at Kids’ Food Basket in Holland. Additionally, she spent a semester abroad in Cape Town, South Africa, where she focused her studies on intersectional psychology and communication. She is newly married and lives in Holland with her husband. Lisa says, “I am passionate about the work of nonprofits and I am excited to be a part of a organization that makes a real impact in the Ottawa County community.”
