Community Invited to "Rake A Difference" on November 7 & 8

Greater Ottawa County United Way invites individuals and groups in Ottawa County to “Rake a Difference” in their neighborhoods on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. This annual volunteer initiative is sponsored and coordinated by United Way and brings volunteers together to help local people and neighborhoods that have a financial or physical challenge with raking and yard clean up.

Individuals, families, friends and groups are welcome to be a part of Rake a Difference. You can reach her by calling (616) 396-7811 or sending an email to

The deadline to sign up is Monday, October 27. Helpers and those needing help will be matched up and will receive their assignments prior to November 7. Thank you for “raking a difference” in your community!
