United Way and NOCHS partner on Career Exploration University Program for Students

Greater Ottawa County United Way and North Ottawa Community Health System are partnering on a pilot program for Grand Haven High School students titled, “Career Exploration University.” The program will take place on April 18 and 20, and will offer students an opportunity to explore careers in healthcare. The first day will be a full day, and will provide hands-on learning experiences. The second day will be a half-day focused on informing the students about the wide variety of careers available in the healthcare field.

Students who wish to apply for the program must be students at Grand Haven High School and members of United Way’s Students LIVE UNITED program. They will need to fill out an application available online at www.OttawaUnitedWay.org/career-exploration-university, and turn in a reference letter from a teacher as well as a one-page essay on why they should be chosen for Career Exploration University. Applications are due Monday, February 22.
