United Way welcomes new Students Live United Program Coordinator

Greater Ottawa County United Way welcomes Jacquelyn Bennett as the new Students Live United (SLU) Program Coordinator. She will oversee the SLU program at local high schools by providing students in Ottawa County with the support and tools they need to engage in local volunteer opportunities, track their hours, build leadership skills and earn recognition.

Jacquelyn graduated from Central Michigan University with a BS in Business Administration and Marketing. She has worked in several fields including property management, marketing and higher education. Her previous role as the Admissions and Early College Coordinator at Lake Michigan College has prepared her well for working with students. During her time there, she recruited and guided students through the program, collaborated with teachers, gave presentations and more. Jacquelyn says, “I am excited to be directly involved with high school students who are passionate about making an impact in their communities, as well grow as individuals through volunteering.”

Jacquelyn lives with her husband on a blueberry farm in South Haven. Her interests include: family, fashion, cooking, baking, gardening and boating.
